San Diego 09

We took our first family vacation to San Diego in May 09. We spent 2 days at the beach and a day at Sea World. We even got to see Adam Lambert on Mission Beach!! Most of the family got to go. The girls got to have breakfast with Elmo at Sea World. Kelsi LOVED all the Sesame Street characters, Larynn and Lily were terrified of them, but they liked them if they stayed far away. It was such a great vacation!! We were crammed in the car as it was, and Uncle Matt ended up winning a giant stuffed Shamu. He tied it to the top of the car to get it home. Border Patrol was really wondering about that... We can't wait for the next vacation!!

Larynn turns 2

My baby girl turned 2 on April 7. It was a celebration WEEK for her. We had dinner with all her favorite foods on her actual birthday. Mac n Cheese, hot dogs, brocolli, grapes, chocolate milk, chips and salsa. Grandma & Grandpa brought all her favorites with them. She had Banana Cream Pie at Aunt Becca's since I had to work on her birthday. Her party was on Saturday, April 11. It was snowing that day so luckily Granny & Grandpa offered up their garage for the party. Strawberry Shortcake this year, complete with strawberry pinata (that would not break!!) and pin the jewell on Strawberry. I made her cake again this year and it was my first time working with fondant. I can't wait to make more cakes this year. I still can't believe I have been a mommy for 2 years....where did that time go?

Christmas 08

We celbrated Christmas in our new home this year. It was the best Christmas ever. We had Chritmas Eve dinner at Wes & Brandi's and had everyone over for hot cocoa and muffins on Christmas morning and finished the day with dinner at Granny & Grandpa's. Larynn absolutely loved it this year and had so much fun decorating and un-decorating the tree. She had 3 ornaments that she took off and put back on the same branch repeatedly. Maggie the kitty also loved the tree and we had a hard time keeping her out of it. Larynn absolutely hated Santa this year and didn't want to be anwhere near him. Quite a change from last year so no picture in the paper this time.

Thanksgiving 08

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Freeman park this year. Most of the family was there, we were missing Wes and his family as well as Dusty and his family and Chad from Uncle Gene's family. Larynn loved Thanksgiving this year and had fun playing with all of her cousins. Grandpa Freeman surprised us this year with a turkey hat that he wore for the dinner. It was so funny!! Me, Lori, and Larynn wore the traditional custom "Thanksgiving" t-shirts.
